We´ve spent the last two days in Leipzig with Anne at her apartment. It has been warm, sunny and beautiful! It´s not a real touristy town, so it´s been a couple lazy days. Anne was able to get both of us bikes so that we could all bike around Leipzig, it´s been so much fun!
On our first biking excursion we went to the lake with Anne's friend and her two children. Grandma Golob was right! They do swim naked here :) we ate lunch at the beach and then Karin got a bloody nose so her and I sat in the shade most of the time.
We´ve done some sightseeing, but there aren´t many buildings or monuments we saw that have a really interesting story attached to them. We did get to go into the building where Johann Sebastian Bach is buried, which was interesting. He was choir master there for over 25 years. We, also, went into a museum that had an exhibit on the GDR and the history of West and East Berlin after WWII. We didn´t know much about it, so that was cool. Other than that, we walked around the market, looked at the buildings, ate some gelatto, and read in the park. Nice and relaxing before waking up at 4am to catch a train to Munich.
